Martin-Luther King Centre Distances Self From ‘Leadership Award’ To Buhari

The Martin Luther King, Jr Centre has distanced itself from a leadership and anti-corruption award to President Muhammadu Buhari.
President Buhari recently received an award of leadership and anti- corruption from a group said to be associated with Martin Luther King.
The award was said to be part of the King’s family activities marking the Black History Month.

President Muhammadu Buhari (2nd l) receiving the 2018 Exceptional African Leadership Award from the Representative (Matriach) of the Martin Luther King Family, Dr Naomi King (2nd r) during the visit of Martin Luther King Junior’s Family to the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday (26/3/18) With them are Senior Special Assistant the President on Diaspora Matters, Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa (l) Programme Initiator, Mr Rotimi Vaugham (M) and Mr Isaac Farru 01765/26/3/2018/Callistus/Ewelike/NAN
State House officials, including Bashir Ahmed, a media aide to the president, have touted the award as being given by the late civil rights activist’s nephew.
The nephew, identified as Isaac Newton-Farris also reportedly urged Nigerians to allow Mr. Buhari continue as Nigerian president because of his tremendous achievement.
But following a deluge of requests from Nigerians on Wednesday, the King Centre, which is a
memorial of the late preacher, distanced itself from the award.
The award given to President Buhari of Nigeria was not given by The King Center, at the request of The King Center or by the children of #MLK and #CorettaScottKing. @MrFixNigeria
The Nigerian Presidency said on Wednesday that Buhari “was conferred with the 1st Black History Month National Black Excellence and Exceptional African Leadership Award 2018” by the visiting Martin Luther King Jnr’s family.

Another week, another fraud, 365 days in a year but the Buhari administration commits 430 fraudulent act

The Fake MLK Award Presented to President Buhari - How Abike Dabiri scammed the President [Part 1]

It has become a fact the president is really never aware of the things - good, bad and ugly - that happen around him.

An award arranged by the president's special assistant on Diaspora and a certain Ghana-based African-American, Erika Faye Bennet, who was introduced as Ambassador Erika Bennet in Abuja during the event. Ms. Bennet founded and runs an NGO called the Diaspora African Forum [DAF], where she has given herself the designation Ambassador-at-Large. :)

With funding from the presidency through Hon. Abike Dabiri, Erika Bennet planned an award for the president but masked the award as the Black History Month Award for Excellence in Leadership. Erika Bennet contacted her friend Barbara King who is not a member of Martin Luther King's immediate family, to pose ''matriarch'' of the MLK family. In fact to further embellish the lie, Mrs. Lauretta Onochie, the president's assistant on new media described Mrs. Barbara King as the ''wife of Martin Luther King''.

In a phone conversation with the author, The King Centre and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference have all distanced themselves from the Award.

So, I can reliably submit that the First Black History Month National Black Excellence and Exceptional African Leadership Award 2018 presented to our ''dear'' president is a big fraud.
